Welcome to ULCC's Mahara Evaluation
You will need to register an account to use this site.
Mahara is a fully featured electronic portfolio, weblog, resume builder and social networking system, connecting users and creating online communities. Mahara provides you with the tools to set up a personal learning and development environment.

You can use this site to set up your own portfolio and share this with others. Here are some quick steps to get you started and see some of the common functions.
Registration
You will need to register an account with a valid email address.
Join a group
We have set up a portfolio evaluation group that you can join after registration:
- From the menu bar select Groups and then Find Groups from the sub-menu
- Find the ‘Portfolio Evaluation' group under Groups I'm Not In
- Join this group - you will now have access to it
See a view
Enter the Portfolio Evaluation group from the My Groups menu
- You can now see a list of members and shared views.
- You should be able to view ‘Essay Writing' and ‘Deserted', as examples of created views.
Build your portfolio
Before creating a view you will need to add some content by using My Files or My Blogs from the My Portfolio sub-menu.
- Upload documents, images, video and other files
- Create journals or entries to track your thoughts/learning
Share your work (Views)
Once you have some stuff to share you can create a view from the My Views menu
- You will begin with a blank page and a menu of artefacts. Drag and drop an artefact you wish to use to one of the columns on your view page.
- Once your view is ready you can set who has access to it - individuals, groups or friends. Try to share it back to the group.
